I'm with you, meaning that I also think that Capcom is a great company. But you gotta admit that they've done a few mistakes:
Here, I want to talk about Resident Evil's evolution:
RE6 actually improved the gameplay in the right way (move while shooting, AT LAST!), but I really think it's going downhill, meaning that it's a 'scary game' that isn't scary. I'll give you Leon's 1st chapter, but for the rest, I don't know you, but I felt like I was playing an action game with zombies.
The ones who complain about this (including me) aren't saying to "go back to 1998 and crappy camera angles and bad controls." What we want is a game that makes us feel scared, a true horror game. It doesn't mean to take out the shoulder camera and all that.
Look RE: Revelations. It's a perfect example of what we're looking for. Good gameplay, low ammo (remember it's a 'survival') and a scary athmosphere.
