Btw. I disagree with the "crappy" angles. I think they make the old games have more charm. Without that they wouldn't be as playable today.
But they aren't playable. That's the thing, back then in the 90's sure, I'd shit my huggies over a zombie but they're incredibly laughable by todays standards. No horror, terrible voice acting and horrendus controls. Games like Silent Hill still keep with the horror theme despite the hard limitations. Some people tend to forget that at a younger age you're easily scared so people would think they were scarier but if you go back and play them, the series really hasn't changed aside from camera angle and gameplay. The HUGE EXPLOSIONS are in those games too and not once do you feel scared. Running around with a rocket launcher launcher, a shotgun and a handgun yet RE6 is the problem.
Oh, but I don't play the games for the horror. I play them because I find them fun as hell. I don't even know how many times I've replayed RE2 just for the sheer enjoyment of it. I just find the unique style of the games more fun than any regular 3rd person shooter from those times. That's what makes them more playable to me than a dated TPS. Heck, it's not even long when I bought a PC version of RE3 just because I wanted to try it on another platform.
