Here's a thread for people to share their brilliant ideas for things that don't exist yet. It may be anything, from a new method of locomotion to an idea for a video game to a recipe you've just thought up.
Who knows, you may find out that it already exists !
I love maps, and I would love to have a historical Google Maps that works like a regular Google Maps but has a slider for time. That way, you would be able to see what countries looked like at particular times in history, which countries merged with others, which ones seceded, etc.
For example, you would look at Prague on the map, then slide the slider back to 1636 to see what country/kindgom/etc it was part of, what it was called, etc.
It would likely be limited in some parts of the world due to lack of data, but especially for Europe and North America, we would be able to go back centuries and centuries ! Even having fuzzy borders for areas we're not sure about, or that didn't have clear cut borders (like kingdoms in ancient Egypt), would be interesting.
