They're there to focus on the gamers and the directs are open for anyone to watch. It's not like Nintendo says "If you're in the press and you watch this direct, you can't report on it." The Direct's are more straight to the point without any filler.Yeah but this is Nintendo
Millions was factoring in renting the building and having everything they use be set up. Paying the people to do that, etc. It's not cheap.

"Yes, The Wii U is a $300 add-on to the Wii.... a console that launched at $250" Did the Kinect launch at a higher price point than the 360? No. Did Move launch at a higher price point than the PS3? No. Those are add-ons. Yes, Nintendo made a dumb decision with the name, but it was clear that it was a brand new console. Just idiots in the press were too dumb to not notice that. That... right there, is why they are not doing a conference this year. It's not the end of the world and Nintendo didn't say "We give up."Yes, I do understand it's stupid. But again, it's a fair assumption to make. If you have no idea what the WiiU is, you would most likely assume it's an add-on for the Wii. WiiMotion+, WiiFit, WiiU etc. Even today it still isn't clear that WiiU is a new console, especially to the your Mum and Grandad who play the Wii. When the WiiU was first announced, some people I know who work in retail had customers asking what the WiiU is or assuming it was an add-on. But my overall point is, regardless if people are informed on the console or not, it still didn't sell well despite all the marketing behind it. Assume everyone knew it was a new console, it doesn't change the fact it hasn't sold well. So far, Hitman Absolution has sold more than the WiiU.

The way you word things makes you come off as an entitled little brat who thinks everything has to cater to him and him only. That's what's pissing me off. You post what you think (and that's fine) but most of the time, you lack logic.I would be entitled but my initial post didn't state that I was wanting anything in return/should be owed anything by Nintendo and I did use sources before making a statement.

It's just not doing so great because Nintendo launched it too early and didn't have the games to back it up.Isn't that what failing is though? Failing to meet their sales expectations by 2 million, failing to reach their target audience (us) and thus failing to bring the money in?

I see this type of behavior all the time on GameFAQ's and it's constantly grinding my gears. I don't mean anything bad by it, Cody.S'fine. I always find it funny when there's a heated debate(without the use of insults) that we should "calm down". Nothing wrong with pushing your points forward, if anything, it's what we need more off. I very VERY rarely think "oh yeah, that person is jerk".
