pokemon red ninetails legend is wrong
#1
that guy got that legend from a show called naruto and its not the real legend. (deleted due to people using excessive sarcasm that was in no way necessary or called for) the kitsune is not a "giant fire breathing monster" its a legend based on the "slay don't lay" concept, man has sex with fox spirit, man gets body taken over by fox spirit, that's the legend.
the legend is based on a very real parasite that infects other hosts by, what else, sexual contact. it stays in the liver disguised as pustules, but is actually an egg sack and its temporary home after hatching. if the sack bursts the parasite runs free and terrorizes the body, including the brain, where it causes the new host to do insane things like twitching in the arms or legs, blindness, and various forms of other strange things. it was believed to be the spirit of a fox, but was nothing more than a parasite. medical fact proves this legend somewhat true. not fire breathing, not giant, and not a monster. just a parasite that causes phantom movement that got transferred from a fox, to a human.

Don't trust wikipedia, its edited by people who don't get their facts from the source

here's two links, the parasite information comes from my knowledge of parasites and their origins
also most of my information comes not from these websites but from the knowledge of Japanese culture and anthropology classes
