Honestly, that sounds like a great idea. I have nothing against our actual official discord, but I always felt it was never really a VGFacts discord, and it makes sense, it's because it's five or so different websites bunched together into on place, and even though I'm a part of it I never wanted to talk about anything since I didn't know much of the people in there, or which channel was for who and what.
1. What would you like the name of our server to be?
How about "VGFriends!!!!!!!". Horrible names aside, I think some sort of name that kinda sounds like a bar would work like the VG Lounge or something? Actually, screw that call it "The Retrolinkx experience featuring Seriously Though."
2. What sorts of categories and channels would you like to have?
The usual, look around the forums for what's posted in a lot. My suggestions would be

Bots if you can, I'm sure anybody can add bots to the server and there must be guides online. They're fun little things that just do stuff if you command them to, such as distort an image or turn it into a dumb meme.

- Offtopic Zone (Place to post offtopic stuff like memes and funposting)
- Gaming Zone (for gaming related things)
- Anime Zone (for anime related things)
- TV Zone (for TV related things)
- IRL Zone (for IRL things)
- Help Zone (for people who might want some help with things in their life or in general to find things/help with things)
- Music Zone (for music)
- Artwork zone (for Artwork and other creations)
- Rules
- Introduction section (Used to just say '"X" has joined the server' and we can comment "welcome" or whatever)
- Maybe a voice channel for things related JUST to the voice chat (such as if we were talking and I mentioned a funny image, it'd be easier to put it in the voice channel than a random channel even an off topic one)
