I don't think so. He doesn't really look like him and Yu-Gi-Oh! labels different cards by type/attribute/ archetype (which is in the name).
So, he is Warrior/dark/vampire.
Its meant to fit with the other vampire cards, or as a counter to them.

You can use him with these.
I haven't built vampires but it'd be a good option to side deck (a deck you can change cards from in a 3-duel match) if your opponent uses dark monsters.
