Entertain this thought for a moment. What if this is actually Lorule in its former glory (just a thought, I haven't played A Link Between Worlds)?

It's a good theory, but I believe the whole point of Lorule is that it's the complete opposite of Hyrule. It's supposed to be dark (just not evil), like it was with Twilight Princess. The "other" worlds are supposed to be dark. That is their life in that world.
