I really hope the next one has a more extensive 1-player element, like Brawl did.
IIRC Sakura said that he didn't put one in this game because in Brawl, he wanted people to play the game to experience the cutscenes that you'd only see if you play, but people uploaded them to Youtube and other places online so anyone could see them without having to actually play the game. It pissed him off for some reason or another, and decided he wouldn't have a story like that in SSB4.
I wouldn't be surprised if he hates Smash to be honest. He wanted it to be a party game and it became a no fun for you competitive fighting game. He wanted people to play SSE to see the cutscenes but instead people uploaded them to Youtube.
That's such a dumb thing to say, not everyone decides to watch the cutscenes on YouTube. It's like saying you don't want to write a book because someone will spoil the ending to others.
