Maybe this would help? I don't know. Haven't tried using gamecube controllers on pc.
To add on to this, Dolphin natively supports the Gamecube Controller Adapter made by Nintendo. The Mayflash 4-port linked is just as good though (just be sure to set it to PC mode).
However, do not use the Mayflash 2-port adapter, it has a ton of input delay.
