^ LMAO. Thank you for not even hinting at anything being amiss; I went into this game totally blind. ...After Adachi I really should learn I shouldn't trust detectives. Ha.

Yeah, no problem. I wasn't spoiled on it and I felt the twist was better. Although, I did see a picture of Fulbright with a stab wound on the floor, which I glanced at for a second then immediately went away. It looked like an in game picture so I thought Fulbright was going to be killed. It was nice to know that

I still go back to the first three games and Edgey's spin-off sometimes. I sadly think Dual Destinies will join Apollo Justice in the pile of games I'll never touch again. It's too bad the DLC case actually out-shined the entire main game! There were actually twists that I could have never guess unlike the main game only having the Phantom thing as a mystery. You just knew Simon was going to end up being cleared and that Athena never really did anything wrong. Plus it was always super obvious who the real culprits were for cases until the final one.

Yeah, fair enough. DD was an alright game, it's mid tier. Barely making it above JFA and AJ for me (and possibly AAI, even I forget my rankings for the games). As for the culprits bit. The first and second case reveal the culprit, the third case has a very obvious person as the culprit and the 4th case is just the intro to the 5th case really. Although, I somehow didn't even notice the real culprit of the third case as the culprit until the game told me. So I guess that was a nice surprise, even though it was obvious.

But, of course, they had to slap me in the face again. Here I was hyped about getting the kits to check for blood and fingerprints in the DLC and they only give me a very specific area to examine for blood and let Pearl do the rest. GRRRRR! I had a blast checking every single place in the last case of the first Phoenix Wright game with Emma.

The game has been dumbed down to a ridiculous level imo. Being able to check everything was a fun thing to do in the game, sure the ability might still be there and they've just removed blank spaces. But I like to think they hide less in there than they would've if they let you explore the whole screen.

Since I could have just read about what happens in this game instead of playing it and still pretty much gotten the same experience, I'll wait on the next game until you guys try it and can tell me what the game play is like. I just can't stand how severely it was dumbed down and there were zero instant game over moments if I pressed or presented something wrong.

I still think the game should be played, sure reading it might give you the story but honestly it would ruin the whole thing for me. As weak as DD was, playing it is a much better experience that reading it. Also Spirit of Justice should be a superior game, they're apparently making it harder, and trust me I've played the demo and I was stuck on a moment for 10 minutes, and this was the first case.

Did a lot of people actually complain that the original Phoenix Wright games were too hard? I was still in school when they started being released and the only time I had an issue was because of how tiny Nintendo likes to keep the screens on their handhelds. I finally gave up and looked for help online to discover I totally missed that there was something sticking out of the tailpipe of Edgeworth's car I had to grab. That was it.

I want free reign to look for blood and fingerprints. I want to have to look through a video and point out things. I want to put something together. MAKE ME NEED TO ACTUALLY INTERACT WITH THE FREAKING GAME. 

I don't even know to be honest. I know people were pissed at how convoluted some of the testimonies were like in Case 2-1 where the victim somehow wrote the killer's name in the sand while he snapped his neck upon impact, or how profiles were introduced and you had to present yourself several times to prove something wrong. Hell, I couldn't even FINISH the first case of 3-1 because I had no idea you could present pictures.

I never really missed anything investigation wise (although, looking back I did miss a lot in 2-4 and couldn't finish that case), but there were moments where I would just be super confused with what the next step was and no one would give you a hint. Such as proving Gourdy is fake in 1-4, or having to present a profile picture YOU JUST GOT to advance the plot in 3-2.

Plus... Do Apollo and Trucy not know they're siblings still and who their mother is? That twist was beyond stupid in Apollo Justice with really no reasoning as to why these two kids have been kept in the dark and it's too cruel of Phoenix to keep it up.

Oh, and was it Edgey's second game we never got where I've seen a shot of him and Phoenix clinging onto each other in fear while they're screaming? I was looking so forward to seeing that but it must not be from Dual Destinies.

Nope, they still don't know they're brother and sister, and Phoenix does still know this information. I'm still waiting for them to get married, behind Phoenix's back while he's away in Kurain and for Phoenix to come back shocked at the whole situation and confused at what to do next.

Honestly, that entire premise feels like a Seinfeld episode.

I'm not sure what the Phoenix/Edgeworth screaming shot is though. Might've been the anime or from Spirit of Justice. Phoenix doesn't appear in any of the AAI games.
