Mephiles was a good character and if the game was such a flop they could've made a new game detailing the true origins of Mephiles and Iblis. If this was already explained in the game, please excuse me but can you blame me? I was too busy being dead to pay attention. Anyways, the game could've been good if Sonic Team hadn't been greedy.
The worst thing was, the whole game testing team was fired because they all said how bad the game was...
At least they are back on the rise after Generations, let it be a new start for the Sonic franchise and let something as despicable as Sonic '06 never, ever happen again. Mini rant over.
When I played it I did not have high expectations at all, Because well Sonic team usually fucks their shit up. I have watched the gameplay from the GameGrumps as well, And of course a lot of hate on the game come from there. But my hate for the game is much deeper, Having played it myself and trying to get through it with the shitty controls and the camera. It was just. Not fun. I did not finish it, I couldn't bare myself to do so but the little I played was well. Shit, I agree on the other posts, The music was alright, but it was not enough to keep me playing the game. I almost feel stupid for even buying it, Giving the company my money. But hey, I agree on some terms. Let's just hope that Sonic 0'6 disappears from the archives and sonic team gets back up on their feet. The game could have been really good, But as you said, They rushed it and thus. It was terrible. HAVE WE LEARNED NOTHING FROM E.T FOR THE ATARI? GOD.
On a side note, I can't fucking wait for the AVGN film! :D
