F-Zero Star Fox
#1
I know some of these are discussed on site, but I just wanted a single trivia under bother series noting all the links.
First instance is James McCloud. Here is the F-Zero James McCloud:

Here is the Star Fox Jame McCloud (center):

The two wear what is clearly very similar jackets and jumpsuits. They even have the same belt buckle.
The F-Zero James is the leader of a mercenary fighting force known as "Galaxy Dogs" (a clear parody of Star Fox). He had his combat plane converted to a F-zero racer in an attempt to win and earn more money to support his wife and young son. At one time, his closest partner was even a man named O'Donnell, a possible reference to Wolf O'Donnell of Star Fox. In F-Zero X, he even states that he "drives like a sly fox".

Oh, and here's that converted plane, the Little Wyvern:

And an Arwing, from the StarFox series:

What is even more interesting is that the similarities of their ships aren't just looks. Both are powered by G-Diffusers. Both were designed by companies known as "Space Dynamics".

Now, this has all been noted to be a running joke done by the developers of the F-Zero games.

This is just one tie in of the two games. i will be posting more tie ins in this thread later today.

A second connection is much easier to see, and I believe has already been added.
Octoman from the game F-Zero games is added as a boss in Star Fox Command.

How he appears in F-Zero

Star Fox Command has an ending that relates back to F-Zero also. Ironically, it seems to mirror the course of action that F-Zero's James McCloud had took.

Both games series have a character by the name of Leon! However, their similarities end there.

Oh, I forgot this one. Notice, in the ending "Goodbye Fox" of Star Fox Command, the boots that Falco is wearing...

Seem familiar?

I had stated that, in game, James McCloud states "I drive like a sly fox" in F-Zero X. Here's a picture I captured myself to prove it, since I haven't found any picture or video of it online anywhere.

I ment to post this a while back but forgot. Apparently the James McClouds are not related, and the developers were having fun with a refrance.

Really doesn't change much. It's still a cool reference that spun off into a new character.

I may have had something to do with that video.  Before, they did an episode and only included info about James McCloud being similar in the games and skipped over the massive amount of other Easter Eggs between the games besides two James McClouds.  I went on their forums and stated that they missed a lot of connections, including pictures of the evidence, etc.  Later, this video comes out with every connection I named, the pictures in it that I used... and no thanks to me.  I was only slightly ticked off.
