Here's a bunch a trivia for the Kirby series Iv'e dug up, I'll be updating this page everytime I come across something new, enjoy!
(And keep your pants on Dazz, there's no speculation...THIS time...)
1. Kirby is the only character in the Smash Bros. series who's moveset refrences other franchises through his down-b.
The first and the most obvious is the thwomp for the Mario series.
The second is a bit more obscure, remember that pink box with simling creepy face?
Well it turns out its from the game"Panel de Pon" A puzzle game that was released in the US as Tetris Attack.
2. Hey look, it's Dedede's logo! Was I the only one who thought it looks like a rabbit? No? Ok.
Well It turns out it's much more obvious, its actually the symbal Dedede makes with is hand quite frequently in the series.
(Not sure of this would be common knowledge or not)
Update 10/20/14
Kirby actually does Michael Jackson's moonwalk during his victory dance in Kirby's Return to Dreamland, If you look closely he even does a similar pose, with his hand positioned holding his hat like Jackson did.
UPDATE 10/28/14
Kirby's creator, Masahiro Sakurai, actually had some creative desisions while working on the Kirby Anime. Two of his biggest decisions was that there were to be no human characters and that Kirby could not speak.

The show was also co-produced by Nintendo President and CEO, Saturo Iwata.
