At the Movies!
Fury Road was freaking awesome. If I ever meet Michael Bay in person I will tell him to suck it because THIS is how you make a good action movie.

It's weird, I haven't been hyped for anything (and I mean anything) since Halo 3: ODST, but Terminator Genisys is something I actually am pretty hyped for, and it got me thinking.

The film is basically if they sent a Terminator back to when Sarah Connor was a young girl, and the Terminator raised her up until 1984 or whenever Kyle Reese is being sent back to, but those years where the Terminator raised Sarah (if that's what he did) would make for the perfect action/comedy film akin to Arnold's work in the 90's.

I mean just imagine what you could work with.

Sarah missing the school bus and the Terminator putting her on the motorcycle and having a chase similar to Terminator 2.
A possible scene where he has to go shopping following a list Sarah gives him and he has no idea what he is doing (Catsup or Ketchup comes to mind) or just picks shit off the shelves like he did in Terminator 3.
Being pulled over by a cop and the cop looks like the T1000 from Terminator 2 and he just stares at him for 10 seconds or so, and then is free to go.
An incredibly awkward parents evening.
The obligatory scene where Sarah gets pissed that the Terminator doesn't understand her and her life.
Possibly a scene where she is with a boy and they're both teenagers and the Terminator comes outta nowhere and grabs him out of the car asking who he is and such.
Doing something incredibly out of place as well, like going to an amusement park and Sarah loses at those water gun games and the Terminator wins the game with his superior aiming skills or goes on an roller-coaster with a stoic look on his face not reacting to it at all.

I mean you've got some good stuff here to go on. Such as shame it's not the 90's and Arnold is not young again.

To add to my lateness in watching movies, The LEGO Movie is kinda cool. I mean if you watch it as a regular movie, it's kinda dumb with some funny moments and jokes. If you watch it in the right mind set and/or you are a fan of LEGOs, it's really good. I mean I went into this movie with the idea that it is a stop-motion movie in the year 2014 (in a time where practical effects are little to gone and CGI is taking place) and I was blown away by what was being done. The last time I was this amazed was when I found out Terminator 2 was an early 90's movie (back when CG was new). My mom hates it when I point out how things are done in a movie (last week she ask if she could "for once, watch a movie with out knowing how everything was done") and even she was amazed by this movie.

This is a must see for movie geeks. I also want to say that if you are going to watch this, don't spoil yourself or let anyone tell you any of the jokes or anything. I think you will enjoy it better.

Yeah, when I saw the Lego movie I thought of it as stupid and something kids would love but adults would sort of hate, but damn. It was a really good film once you got into it, and there was a lot of unexpected stuff in the film that I didn't expect to happen.

Saw Inside Out. The short that played before it Lava felt more like a Silly Symphony cartoon than what I would expect from Disney. I still enjoyed the short though. But the movie? Oh man. What a blast that was. I don't want to be one of those people who say it, but Inside Out is the movie that 'fixed' pixar's mistakes(Cough Brave cough Cars 2 and Monsters U cough).

Found out that they made/are makeing a Goosebumps movies.

One one hand, I love this idea for a movie. R.L. Stine did not make up all of his stories but based them on real creatures that he locked up in books.

On the other hand, Jack Black is R.L. Stine. I'm not sure how to feel about that. I have nothing agenst Mr. Black, but I'm also not his biggest fan.

Well the movie is about a children's book seires and it looks like it's going to have some stupid humor, and Jack Black can really do stupid humor.

I heard R.L Stine was in charge of the story as well as helping out the development of the goosebumps movie. So chances are it might be good.

I did not hear about this. It looks like it will be awesome though!

Just saw Spy.

I only wanted to watch it because it had Statham in it, but fuck me that film was actually pretty good.

Seriously, Statham was the most generic ever which is perfect for his role, the characters in the movie weren't that bad and hell some were surprising and still made me laugh.

It's akin to a comedy action film of the 90's. Watch it if you can, and stick with it until you see Statham on the screen since it's kind of boring before that point.

I went to a movie theater for the first time in YEARS with some friends today. Saw Jurassic World. Was scared several times since I'm not used to even seeing such tense and gory films. I'm just a bit of a wuss when it comes to movies.
I literally had trouble walking afterwards because I kept so tense and my legs locked in place they were wore out.

Back when The Lost World: Jurassic Park came out and I went to see it in the movies I almost ate my shirt. Literally.

Jurassic World was SOOOOOO cool. I love all call backs to the first film and I love all the interesting scenes with the dinos. I have to say that I don't understand why someone would make a Frankenstein dino let alone many, but the movie was entertaining enough for me to for give it.

I really wanted to see Inside-out but my mother was picking the movie to see and see picked Terminator and Jurassic Park (we have double features), and we decided to stay for Jurassic Park when I got out of work.

So I saw Terminator today.

Damn, it was pretty good. Spoilers ahead.

The references were pretty great, the CGI Arnie from 1984 looked good. It was a shame they took him out quite early. I would've loved to see the first part of the flim being about stopping that Terminator, possibly getting up to the scene where he buys firearms and killing him there, just so we could see more of him and their plan of attack.

I did find it interesting that Skynet sent a Terminator back and it was intercepted by another Terminator and Sarah and the resistance sent Kyle Reese back only to be intercepted by another Terminator. I really did like that scene.

The humour was there as well, so I enjoyed laughing at the little things, such as when they got caught halfway through and they had to take a mugshot and the Terminator just did his freaky smile from Terminator 2 again, and parts where he even protected Sarah through the little things like reminding her to put her seatbelt on when she got into the school bus.

Sadly, the second trailer spoiled the bad guy which was really stupid so I already knew the twist which really hurt the effect the film was trying to give. It'd be like if Terminator 2 immeditealy told you "ANROLD IS GOING TO PROTECT JOHN CONNOR THIS TIME ROUND" it ruins the entire dynamic and the film in general I wish I never saw ANY of the trailers to be honest just so I could've gone in fresh without knowing anything since the scenes were amazing and stayed true to the original.

I did like that when 9 Year old Sarah is saved by the Terminator he looks exactly like he did in this scene and I really enjoyed seeing that, it was another nice touch.

Matt Smith was in the crowd as well, and when I saw him I thought he looked like the Doctor and then instantly thought that the Doctor in the Terminator universe would be brilliant. It was a shame he was a somewhat minor character for the role he played. He got like 2 minutes of screen time tops.

I'd welcome a sequel or even the trilogy they said they'd make just because I love Terminator films. I love all Arnie films, so more will forever be good for me.

Went to the actual cinema for the first time in years. They were showing Ant-Man, I had nothing better to do and was hanging out with a friend so we thought we'd check if it's any good. It was, surprisingly. I had no expectations since I know nothing of this particular character but it was nice. Not my favorite Marvel movie but it served its purpose. I'm just waiting for them to announce the next movie that was teased at the end, since I know that character a bit better than Ant-Man himself.
