I've seen this on the Spyro boards. My thoughts on this are pretty much the same as yours.
I'm one of the few who enjoys Skylanders, but it's getting repetitive already. And Spyro is barely even a main Skylander now anyway, so it would be nice to see Spyro in his own game again. And of course, I miss Crash too, even if I wasn't too big on the Mutant games.

Honestly, the biggest thing I miss about the old Spyro games is that music. I loved that music. Stewart Copeland just did an awesome job with those games; I wish more games put that much work into the music.
I never really liked the Crash games, to be honest. I appreciate them more now; as a kid, I hated Crash. I really liked Spyro though. Weird.

I would kill for another Crash game made by Naughty Dog especially if it was another racing game. I want to see Crash come back home.

^Game development is longer than you think. I have a hunch that they(Sony) is looking through various ideas for Crash and Spyro games as we speak. But yeah. It feels like the same answer we are given about Crash and Spyro.
