So, I recently (about 2 months ago) got a new graphics card, and was able to play L4D2 at a reasonable 40-60 frames with everything maxed out.
For some reason, I barely get around 30 frames with most of the settings on low and I don't know why. I'm also having some other problems.
I changed my Tank music manually by renaming the files in my folders and updating the audio cache as well. Now on some of the map finales my FPS drops to a solid 9 and my ping increases steadily until the tank dies. It goes from around 100 to 1500 for no apparent reason.
I'm pretty sure it's got something to do with my changing of the music but I do not know. It only happens on about three map finales, there are other times when I will get 2 seconds of slowdown about 4 times one after the other when a Tank appears on some other maps. This usually goes away after a while and is not a problem.
Does anyone know what I could do to fix this?
I haven't changed the files back since there may be another way of fixing this, and I understand this may not be the best place to ask but I feel as if it could be useful anyhow.
