One of the playable characters in 1001 Spikes is called 'Mr. Video Game.' His design is based on Mario and is only useable in the Wii U and 3DS versions. His normal attack is a fireball that is thrown as a projectile. In addition, several levels will have altered music based on World 1-1 of Super Mario Bros.
