To sum things up, someone found an exploit in Imgur that makes it to where certain images affect your local storage and make you part of a bot net, assuming I understand this correctly. Its currently being used to screw with 8chan, but that doesn't necessarily mean that is all it will be doing.

I don't even understand what that is. All I know is it has become a mini porn site.

Nothing about "became". Its an image hosting website. Its used for literally everyone that needs to host an image that isn't breaking their terms of service. The images you just so happen to see just fall into what they allow in the open forum. That, and you have the option to disable these images from being viewed by yourself in the options, as is default. If you see something like that, you can report it.

This is a completely different issue entirely. Basically, don't go on there. Your computer will be used for malicious intent without your consent.

Well shit. I was on there last night. On my phone.

I do have a security app, CM Security. It has scheduled scans for viruses and stuff. It was recommended by a guy that works at the local US Cellular.

Supposedly, the affected images we know about were posts from /r/4chan, so if you saw anything like that, we might have an issue.

It was a flash enabled exploit so if you have an i-phone, you should be alright, but don't quote me on that.

I have an Android. Galaxy S4 to be exact. I don't think my phone is having any problems.

If you feel that you could have potentially been affected by this, clear your local storage and cookies.
Otherwise, its been patched.
