Digimon All-Star Rumble
#1
I was going to post this in the Free Gaming Thread but decided to make it into its own thread after I realized how much I had written.

I started thinking about the characters in the upcoming Digimon All-Star Rumble. It doesn't really seem all that "all-star" to me, since most of the announced characters are from the first season. Agumon, Gabumon, Biyomon, Tentomon and Gatomon, that's already 5 out of the 8 announced characters. I've also seen videos with Gomamon so that's be already 6 of the 12 characters that will be in the game. Apart from those only Veemon thus far is representing season 2 (along with Gatomon, technically) and of course Dorulumon and Shoutmon because Xros Wars is the latest season. They seem to have a habit of representing the first season the most and whatever is the latest thing second in the Rumble games.

The next thing I realized is that there will only be 12 playable characters (with 32 evolutions) available. The original Rumble Arena had 14 standalone characters (with 10 playable evolutions) and Rumble Arena 2 had a whopping 19 characters (with 28 evolutions in total). So, in the end, All-Star will really only have a bigger variety of evolutions with less base characters to choose from than the two previous games. It does have 10 stages which is the same amount as Rumble Arena 2 so no complaints there.

I wonder if they're already planning on adding more characters via DLC or something. At least there's a big enough roster to choose from. I just know that if they do I'm a sucker enough to buy them...

If you have no idea what I'm rambling about, here's the trailer:

As a side note, the Agumon from Digimon Savers is seen in the trailer for a short time. I wonder if they'll have different costume options.

I'm only gonna buy it because it'll be rare and worth something in a few years.

Are previous Digimon games (specifically the Rumble series) rare now? I honestly have no idea.
