A dispatch mission called "Scarface" is posted by a Knight by the name Tingel, who wishes to keep a scar from a fight he started. This likely is a reference to the Tengille family from the previous Final Fantasy Tactics game, as all three of the Tengilles were Knights and were also known to use "Tingel" as a surname.
It may also be a reference to Squall Leonhart or Seifer Almasy from Final Fantasy 8, who both got scars across their face after a duel with each other.
