Kirby's Logo
#1
As strange as this sounds, the American/UK Kirby logo (his name on the front cover) has changed at a point.

It started out as just his name:

The last game to use this logo type was Kirby: Tilt 'n' Tumble in April 2001

Inbetween this game and the next, the anime premiered on September 14, 2002. It used this logo.

After that, they started useing the Anime's logo for every game starting with Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land which was relised in December of the same year.

The only example is Kirby's Dream Collection, though it still has the b star on the 20 so it still may count.

This isn't really uncommon... Logos change all the time. Just look at Mario.

Yeah, but they either change more than once or not at all and sometimes use more than one logo. Kirby has had only one design change and kept that design constant (except for the example given).

For example, Donkey kong has always had stars in his titles, exept for the two DK titles.

I also just wanted to put this up to show that the logo did change but only after the anime aired.

I still think it's a noteworthy trivia as the logo of the entire series was changed due to a spin-off.

"The American Title Font for the Kirby Games was changed when the TV-Show was localized. The current logo is based on the same one used in the Localized version of the TV-Show."

I think this would be counted as a "General Trivia" if you ask me.
