I see what you mean, I'm still working on my tracing ability. As for the shading....I personaly think it looks better without it but oh well.

Any robot made by Texas Instruments is alright with me. Its the only one I can use on tests anyway.
If you have to follow through with that guy, feel free to reference my little bots, Castor and Pollux.

Well, I didn't mean it needs shading. What you have works, but to be able to pull off curves and contours and such, the lines drawn need to reflect that. You know what I'm saying, right...

I think I do, thanks for the constructive criticism!

Also, on the subject of cartooning class, my previous project was to make a logo for a new candy product using only the name I was given. Mine was "Off The Edge!" And this is what I eventually came up with:

Yeah, I'm no good at coloring. This was actually my 3rd or 4th attempt but I do like how it turned out. Also, though it's hard to notice in this image, the letters of 'Edge' are all taped to the main paper to make it look more "3D" (and also because I was tired of my colors mixing all the time) Tell me what you think, guys!

I like it. It looks like a gumball doing a Earthworm Jim face!

I thought of this while typing an essay in English class today. Inspired by Edd Gould's style of humor.

After almost a year of procrastinating I'm finally buckling down and trying animation.
Here's a small test thing I made today:

Better Quality

I'm actually pretty proud of how smooth this looks.
Thoughts?

The more I watch it, the more I realize that those aren't his hands, but rather he's holding some poor fellow's arms and hands that he took.

The animation itself looks good, but the frame where it shows the motion blur of the hands moving up looks weird. I don't know, though. Could just be me.

No, I noticed that as well. I'm getting used to the idea of smear frames but haven't quite been able to get it down yet. Also the position of the arms are strange. Damn you arms. And hands. You suck as well.
