Nintendo will be discontinuing Club Nintendo
#1
Nintendo has just announced that they will be discontinuing their rewards program, Club Nintendo. They have said that it will be replaced by a new program, but have given no details about it.

The links below contain all the details about the changes and how they will happen.

For Europe

For North America

Something that I don't understand is why they are giving everyone with an account a Flipnote Studio 3D code. Sure that's cool and all, but not everyone has a 3DS and as one of those people that doesn't have a 3DS, but a Wii U, I feel cheated a bit.

Your thoughts?

Huh, I guess I'd better find out what my sign up for that was to claim moolah.

Probably for the best, considering it was a broken system because of how easy it is for folks getting NC point code without even paying a game.

Also, Flipnote is gonna be awesome.

Pretty much. I would go into CEX stores and take the codes. Free games and promotions.

That being said, this I still think this is a stupid move. I've been apart of Club Nintendo/NoE since it started back in 2002. It's actually where my name "Mariotaz" comes from. It's a shame because I really did enjoy the NoE days back then. We used to have a forum and badges. Then they did the big change over with the Wii and we lost the forum. Not only that but it just became bland.
OH well. I don't really understand Nintendo anymore so I can't say I'm surprised.

I don't see it as a problem. The system was broken, the rewards were mostly crap unless you lived in Japan and the stupid survey's never varied enough to make them interesting to do. It was easy to just copy/paste nearly every answer.

Sorry if this seems rude to ask, but does anyone have any spare codes they don't need so I can get Gold status?
