SWEET JESUS, IT'S A DUCKTALES REMAKE
#31
It seems it has only received good/lukewarm reception.
I have not played the game, but it seems their complaints are that the game tries too hard to be accessible and the writing is bad.
The actual game though looks pretty good to me and it seems to replicate most of the original well enough so I might try it out anyway.

The game's so darn awesome, been playing it for the whole night.

Since I never played the original I keep dying for not knowing how to interact with certain things but I'm learning. I like to be challenged. Oh, and Hard Pogo all the way.

Looking deeper into the reviews, most of them seem to complain how similar it is to the original.

And that I have to agree, it's so similar that it's like they just remastered the original game or something. Jesus...

Yeah, I mean, sheesh. Couldn't they add 50 dollars worth of DLc on it just to feel like it's new?

Some of the reviews of the negative side say its too much like the original(despite there being some new content here and there in the remastered game). A similar thing happened in Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded with the reviews.

Any word from Wayforward about remastering Ducktales II? Hopefully they can find a way to get Donald in it(even though he wasn't in the original game though). Like Donald could help out Scrooge get to the pirate ship in the Brahmaputra triangle

I'm hoping for Ducktales 2 and Chip & Dales Rescue Rangers remasters. Oh man, C&D would be glorious...

I wasn't into Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers when growing up. How was the game anyway since its one of the things Wayforward would like to do next.

It's the best co-op experience known to mankind.

Well obviously that person has played the game a lot and got the speedrun record by knowing every jump and mastered the timing. Personally it took me a couple of hours on Normal the first time I played. I tip my hat off to you if you manage to beat it in 40 minutes on your first playthrough. It's a good game and I'll be beating it on Hard sooner or later. 15 bucks is a great price for a game like this.
