Okay, so several hours ago, Malwarebytes had told me that it has found some random Malware on my computer and it needed me to get rid of it. So, without taking much notice I selected to "Delete All" and also without noticing restarted my computer since for everything to be deleted my computer needs to restart.
So, it restarts, I go do something else and then I come back to my computer and Steam isn't connecting, and Firefox doesn't connect to any website at all. BUT I am connected to the internet, my wireless adapter is showing 5 full bars. It is connected and working. I try disconnecting it and reconnecting it but nothing changes.
Malwarebytes keeps showing me a box every 10 seconds or so with "Non-Malware Detected" with a program called "ColorMedia.dll" located in my System32 folder that it is blocking as a "Potentially Unwanted Program"
I google the problem using a Laptop (which is what I'm using right now) and one of the suggestions was a System Restore. Seemed reasonable and so I did it. I come back about 15 minutes later and see the same problem. Steam won't log in, Internet still doesn't work and Malwarebytes telling me I have some Non Malware it can't get rid of.
I log into Steam and it seems to work perfectly fine, although for some reason I can't play any games telling me that it can't find an IP server after trying three times. But I can talk to other people using it.
So Firefox still won't connect to the internet, whenever I open up the browser it just shows me what I had up previously and when I try to refresh it or go to a new page it doesn't do anything. It doesn't even try to connect. It's just like pressing F5 on a blank screen, it just stays in the same place.
As for the Malware retardedness. Malwarebytes attempts to remove it but it keeps saying it can't and the "access is denied" in the log files, as well as the fact that I can't delete it manually and I have no idea what program installed it. It was last accessed on February 7th and I have not installed any program on that date, with the closest being Adobe Flash Player and a game called "Platypus" on the 5th and 8th respectively.
I really have no idea what the hell is causing this. I'll post it here for anybody to try and help since it'll be easier for me to access in general, but I'll also try some tech sites as well as googling it again in general.
Thanks in advance.
