Official FNAF Movie is happening
#1
No late April Fools joke here.
A full-budget theatrical movie adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy's has been confirmed today. The film is being made by Warner Brothers and is being produced by Roy Lee and a few others. Warner Bros. is quoted saying that the game's creator Scott Cawthon is working with them on the project.

No release date as of now, though.

Any thoughts?
I personally think this is awesome and for Cawthon it must be a dream come true.

Meh, the movie will be crappy but hey, at least that guy who made it is going to have tons of money so good on him.

Seriously, at this point I'd milk this thing as much as possible before people realise it's not as great as it seems.

It doesn't say if its gonna be live-action or animated. Live-action may be likely for this. I'm a little curious about this to be honest.

I wonder how this movie will develop and what it'll involve and if we'll see a new animatronic.

Despite its popularity FNAF is still pretty niche. Kind of weird that anyone would be funding the movie.

I wonder if they would make it like those old 80s horror movies.

I'm just gonna idle here and wait for Freddy to appear on Lego Dimensions.

Some people would kill for it to look like this

I'm guessing it's just gonna be a generic jump scarefest designed  to cash in on the trend, then half way through production they'll realize that interest is dying, run low on money, and frantically try to complete the project with as little money or effort as possible.

cough

Or maybe it'll be a cool parody that subverts our expectations, who knows. My money's on the former.

Monster House was  a bit of a hit and miss for me. But lets see where this leads.
