10 days until US college football begins! The very first game of the season is Tennessee Volunteers (ranked #9 in the Associated Press poll) vs Appalachian State. It should be a good tune up game for the Volunteers, but App State can be dangerous and were one of the best Division II teams that joined the Sunbelt Conference in Division I.

American College Football begins tonight!!! 7:30 PM ET is the kick off time. It's on SEC Network if anyone has it and wants to watch it.
For the first time since 2001, season tickets have sold out for the Tennessee Volunteers. Knoxville is going crazy and some fans started tailgating yesterday. This is where Butch Jones says we will figure out "the unknowns", the game situations that have not been covered in practice or they didn't think to cover. The only other Heisman Winners to play in the MLB are Vic Janowicz and Bo Jackson.

Yes. Tyrone Swoopes dove across the end zone line to win the game in 2nd overtime. It was one of the best games I ever watched. Texas Longhorns are currently unranked and Notre Dame Fighting Irish are 10 in the nation. Huge upset.
Houston upset 3 Oklahoma and Wisconsin upset 5 Louisiana State University. I'm wanting to compile a list, add updated rankings and notes, and post it (hopefully by tomorrow night). 11 Ole Miss is currently playing against (and currently winning) 4 Florida State. Games are normally not spread out over 5 days, but it's opening weekend and today is a holiday which is extended it.
