One of my favorite horror games of all time, White Day: A Labyrinth Named school, is being remade for at least PS4. I hear there will also be an iOS version. This is quite a happy, and strange, piece of news. Strange in the sense that this game has been lost and forgotten for years, it's hard to find online and even harder to install on your computer. Furthermore, it has become abandonware and it's not often you see an already abandoned IP getting picked up and getting this kind of treatment.

Looks like Resident Evil meets Corpse Party. I'm down with that.

Resident Evil? I guess I should mention the game has no combat and it's either hide or flee with the enemies. Oh, the good times when trying to light my way through a dark hallway with matches that kept burning out and running into a random haunt. I guess this could be compared to Corpse Party, in a way, though this game focuses more on the scary things within its world, rather than story.

That's a better comparison. I do like Penumbra. Worth mentioning, though, is that White Day was released about 5 or so years before the Penumbra tech demo. Not saying it would have invented the style, there have been horror games lacking combat for years before.
