1080 Snowboarding -- Music changes

The song "Give It To Me" in 1080 Snowboarding features lyrics, but only in the Japanese version of the game. They were removed to the sexual nature of the lyrics.

I didn't grow up with this game or an N64, so I apologize if this comes across as a dumb question. I had just gotten a Japanese copy straight from Japan. I thought this song was just in the options menu, but when I went in there, it's just the instrumental version. Am I missing something? Did they apply this correction to certain copies of the Japanese version to keep things more cost effective? Do I have to go to a specific course to hear the version with lyrics? Just confused and need some clarification.
