Honestly, the only benefit I can see out of having this invincible mode is if the player really is just a massive casual or a child who doesn't want to spend his time trying levels of the game again and again.

Overall, it is pretty bad that they have an option like this. (Could it even be called a game at this point?) But as long as they're not censoring anything I guess it does no harm.

What's up with games that hold your hand all the way through nowadays? For example: Majora's Mask 3D. It's beautiful and I wish the N64 version looked that good, but it was too easy. Are we going to have an FPS that has an invincible mode (other than a cheat code or unlocked)?

there's nothing clever i can say about the subject aside from:

EDIT: Do you guys realize my post was meant to be hyperbole, right? You can stop taking it so seriously now. (ಠ__ಠ)

Also, to be completely honest I find it hilarious AF how this entire website suddenly did a 360 degrees head-turn right after I jumped on the bandwagon of criticizing this new feature... All because I was (apparently!) a bit too harsh on it compared to everybody else.

*Jerry Seinfeld's voice* Like, what's the deal with that?!

I really don't see the problem. Its an option and nothing more. If it was always like that then I can certainly see the problem, but you've got to remember, Nintendo is trying to sell this to kids and parents who have to deal with said kids.

I feel like it would be a good thing for people who are practicing speedruns, wanting to just experience the story, want to just crash into every single thing they can find, or be able to scream "I AM BULLETPROOF!"

That's pretty much my thought in this case. It's not like you have to play it. If it were on PS4 or Xbox One, you might in order to get a complete gamer score or Plat Trophy, but it's Nintendo, an option in their eyes is just an option, nothing more.

I think it's slightly annoying that it's there, like those blocks that show up in New Super Mario Bros when you die a bunch that just have a Luigi bot clear the course for you, but I agree that it's mostly an option, and a less intrusive one at that.

Honestly, this will be something good for new Star fox players to have. If they can't get it through a few times, they'll watch and see how its done. I don't recall there being people up in arms about this sort of thing when New Super Mario Bros and Donkey Kong Country Returns did this.
