IGN posts first list of expected games to be at E3 2016
#1
Yeah, we're getting close to E3 now (about 9 weeks) so here's hoping gaming news in general picks up (seriously, I run a freaking news fanpage on facebook and haven't even had anything to talk about for three days, lol. Its sad). Anyways, the list is pretty much what you'd expect at this point, game like Final Fantasy 7 Remake and XV, Forza, Scalebound, Persona 5. Pretty much everything we already know about: http://www.ign.com/wikis/e3/Games_at_E3_2016 I've found over the last few years as i try to dig up some stuff for the upcoming event as the time closes in that this list tends to get more interesting, so hopefully some other, a little more unexpected things will come up. Just take note that these lists aren't always accurate as they state. I remember last year Persona 5 was on this list as well and that didn't happen. I also think that they've forgotten to mention a few games as I suspect we'll also get something about Hollow realization, the newest SAO game, and probably some Ni No Kuni II as well. I'm sure there's more, but it's 4:30 here so I don't have everything all in my head as well as I normally would.

Any games you expect to see on this list or hope will be added? I'm sure there's a couple on here we all hope will be true. Let's about it, because I imagine this thread will likely be able to be updated on a pretty regular basis until E3 officially starts.

Nintendo isn't announcing much so far. And it doesn't seem like any cross-platform games are on a Nintendo console. Hmmmm.....

Skies of Arcadia 2 never
God Hand 2 never
Ghost Trick x Phoenix Wright never
AA6 Translation + Western Release 2016 never
The Wonderful 102 never
Advance Wars 3DS never
DMC5 never
Jet Set Radio Future HD/ Jet Set Radio 3 never
Timesplitters 4 never

Why even play video games anymore ;-;

On topic though. I do hope one of those games is shown at E3. It'd be some great news for me since the last few E3's haven't been that great. I'll also be watching it with some friends for the first time in my life so it'd be great for one of these memorable moments to happen.

For Nintendo. I really just want to see something good from them. The last few E3's after the Wii U have been kinda disappointing for me, nothing I really wanted apart from a game or two, and many many minutes wasted looking at games I don't want, the development of games I don't want, and the backstory of games I don't want. Seeing the NX will be nice, and hopefully some old games on there being made again. F-Zero or Metroid Prime 4 would look amazing on the NX.

For Sony, they've been doing pretty well these past few E3's. Shenmue 3 is a definite plus from me. I'd love to see them announce any of the above, non-nintendo owned titles, especially if they're able to get the original developers for it. I wouldn't mind seeing some more information for Shenmue 3 as well. They'll most likely do pretty well since they usually have a good mix of games we expect, game that aren't shown but we expect and a single game no one expects that blows us away.

For Microsoft, they're quite an odd one they are. I mean they have to show a lot to get more gamers on their side since they all believe they're evil. So they're usually the most interesting. Obviously they'll have CoD and Fifa, so expect around 30 minutes of stuff you won't care for. If Major Nelson really does want to see some original Xbox titles being brought back we might see one being redone for the system. Phantom Dust might be shown. I'd love to see some Halo Wars 2 as well. With Fable Legends canned, all I can guess they'll show would either be a new Gears of war, a new IP or a third party.

Overall, it's always hard to say if it'll be a good year for E3, but we can always hope.

I think it's all eye on Nintendo. This NX is really hyped at the moment.

Eh, E3 has been losing momentum for a while now. Also while I do keep an eye out on some AAA games I mainly focus on Indie content.

I am still excited. I love E3 and I always have. It used to be like a holiday for me.

All I really care about is Capcom and if they have anything to show for RE's 20th anniversary.

Honestly if we're talking about certain Companies, I'm a little more interested in Sega and what they'll do since admittedly, I've spent more money with them this year then I have for probably the last five years. I want to see if they'll give me a reason to spend any money with them for the second half of the year. Also, it would be nice to see what's up with Sonic since we haven't heard anything. Hoping against hope that they'll actually make something decent with him. While I'm thinking about it to, as far as Capcom is concerned, they keep mentioning things about Mega Man, so maybe we'll get something good with him. Also, I think it's pretty safe to say that all they'll do for RE is the re-release of 4-6 on the current get systems, which is disappointing, but who knows, maybe they'll surprise us.

Nothing on Cuphead, Shantae, Yooka Laylee, or even anything interesting to me(except for the Zelda game).

We can pretty much scratch my last post. It does seem like Resident Evil 2's remake is being handled very delicately which might mean we'll at least hear something about it at E3 if they're talking about it now, likely to get people thinking about it so close to conferences.

@CLX, I'm hoping we'll get something soon about all of those as well added on to that list. It would be nice to know what's going on with these projects since we haven't heard anything in a while and honestly, Cuphead is one of three games I bought my Xbox for, so the sooner we hear something, the better.

Of course Resident Evil 2 is going to be shown at the convention. That's what gamers(well some of them) have been asking for Capcom to do for a long time now. I wouldn't be surprised if they're already considering remaking the other titles in the mere future.

I just hope E3 has somethings better this year. I know Cuphead is also coming to the PC as well. I won't buy a console for just one game though. I'm personally just getting sick of all of the 3D realistic looking video games.

Scalebound and Recore along with Quantum Break we're also reasons I bought the Xbox one. I'm glad at least one of those games is out now, and it's pretty decent as well.

Capcom usually tends to leave their best stuff for Tokyo Game Show so I have no high hopes for any RE2 Remake info during E3. I'd be happy if they had anything regarding the series for show.

Also I doubt they are considering any new remakes at the moment. It took 6 years from RE1 to the release of the first remake. It has already been 14 years since that came out and 18 years since RE2 was released and we are only now getting a remake of that, despite it being almost as anticipated a remake as FFVII. Knowing Capcom they are testing the waters with this one and only IF it does extremely well we have chances of getting another remake sooner rather than later, or at all.
