If you look at the Pirate Explorer's profile in the log book it will say his favorite video game is Ice Climbers. Ice Climbers is an actual video game made by Nintendo for the NES. The possible reason the Pirate Explorer's favorite game is Ice Climbers is because they appear in snowy areas and Ice Climbers takes place in a snowy place.
