I remember reading that sometime after the live-action Flintstones movie, they did try to make a live-action Jetsons movie. Danny Devito was considered for Mr.Spacely.

Well, as long as it comes out better than the Flintstones movies (I have seen both), I'll be fine with this.

Also, I first read this thread as Live-Action Jesus Series and I must admit that the correct title only bamboozled me slightly less.

they've been trying to get a live-action movie off the ground since like 1985, but with the announcement of this and that new animated movie that's going to be coming out, it's a safe bet that it's dead

Maybe Peter Dinklage can be Mr. Spacely. But, he's busy with GoT.
Of course, they could try to borrow from the Horrible Bosses cast and get Kevin Spacey as Spacely. Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, or Charlie Day as George Jetson. Jennifer Aniston as Jane.
I could see them trying Seth Rogen as George Jetson.

I don'the know what to make of this but since it is on ABC, it's gonna look so cheap that it won't even be funny.

Robert Zemeckis(The back to the future Trilogy, Who Framed Roger Rabbit) has been announced on board with this.
Maybe this can be good.
