In an interview with SPOnG.com, Monkey Ball creator Toshihiro Nagoshi said that Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz was planned to be released on the XBOX 360 and PlayStation 3.

In a similar fashion, Sonic '06 almost had a Wii release, alongside with the XBOX 360 and PS3 releases. It was then decided to have Sonic star in a new game as a way to focus on the Wii Remote's capabilities. This game later became "Sonic and the Secret Rings."
