Favorite Split-screen games?
#1
Since it seems to be a dying trend, what are some of your favorite split screen multiplayer games? Or just games that have it available that you've had fun with.

It isn't exactly split screen, but it's 4 player local, so Does that count? Even If it doesn't, Gauntlet Legends on the N64, Gauntlet on the NES, and Gauntlet Dark Legacy on the PS2 are all great games that I love that are better with peoples. And on the newer consoles (Newer as in 6 years old :D) Borderlands, Left for Dead, and Halo: ODST. (Shooterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs!) And dbzbt3.

Basically, splitscreen games = Fun.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater Two for the simple fact that if you played 2 player on the N64 version, you had every course available to use, even ones you had not unlocked yet in single player.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards

Bomb omb blast mode in Mario Kart Double Dash was the best part of the whole game. Used to invite 10-15 people over on the weekends and just do a bunch of tournaments of that over and over.

Army of Two. Isn't this kind of obvious? The whole series.

Resident Evil. The newer titles, of course. There's nothing as amazing as sharing your favorite games with your friends.

Dead Nation, Renegade Ops and Smash TV were all awesome two-player shooters, had a lot of fun with them.

Bomberman. I just recently ordered my childhood love, Bomberman World for the PS. Oh, that'll be fun.

The Tony Hawk series. Well, up to PS2 at least. I really wish the HD remake of the first had split-screen but no, only the stupid online mode.

Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks. Oh dear God this game was massive fun.

Vigilante V8. Car carnage at its finest.

Any demolition rally racing game. FlatOut, Motorstorm, Demolition Racer and Destruction Derby to name a few.

Crash Team Racing since I never really had a Nintendo console after NES, other than handhelds.

Killzone 3 was also lots of fun with a friend, played it through multiple times.

Did I mention I really enjoy playing games on split-screen?

This! Wish I knew more people who liked them but I know only one and he lives away with his girlfriend now. Le sigh...

My favorite is Halo 1. It doesn't happen so often anymore but have some friends on that or 2 and you gonna have a good time son.
