Wind Waker HD going to have a higher difficulty.

Wind Waker HD is going to have a higher difficulty setting, most likely a kin to Master Quest from OOT.

I may have to play that first instead of the normal game. I completed Wind Waker 2 years ago, it's still sort of fresh in my mind.

It may just be like the hero quest from skyward sword where it's just everything does twice as much damage.

Anyone know if this will have new challenges or surprises similar to the Master quest version OOT?

Sounds like to me its giving gamers more of a challenge.

Master Quest is an awesome challenge. Well worth playing. Hero Mode means that enemies deal 2x damage and you can't find hearts. Seeing as how Skyward Sword was insanely easy, the additional mode felt pointless. Master Quest being a "remix" of the dungeon means that your second time through the game is harder and feels fresh. The Wind Waker should have a Master Quest rather than, "go through the same game again with a bit more of a damage threat".

I'm still really hoping that they fix up the stupid scavenger hunt for the Triforce shards near the end, that almost stopped me from finishing the game. I remember reading somewhere that they put that in due to time constraints or something.
