About 80% of this sites RE facts have been submitted by me so yes, I've done that ages ago :P
Metal Warriors
When the seller of a local retro shop told me about this game i think it was MechWarriors.
Anyway Metal Warriors is hard to find (150€ the cartridge only...)
Yes, the perfect Metal Gear experience for a handheld, Meal Ge-oh, you thought I was talking about the PlayStation title everyone knows about? Well no, though it's know as Metal Gear Solid to North Americans everywhere, it's officially known Metal Gear Ghost Babel.
Made by the same studio who brought you the Starfy series and the PlayStation ports for Final Fantasy, it was written by Hideo Kojima but directed by a colleague of his who worked on Policenauts (since Kojia was busy with Sons of Liberty at the time) and Neverdead before Neverdead was a thing. It's a pretty rare find for a Game Boy Color game that'll go for around $40 or so, but it's worth every penny to play the definitive handheld espionage.
Yes! Ghost Babel needs more love. And here I thought I was the only person who loved obscure spinoffs.
Klonoa 2:
I mean like Jesus Christ this game is awesome. It's a bit easy and short but it's seriously one of the most relaxing games I have played. The game is also one of the best looking early PS2 games to boot.
And that soundtrack... Holy shit that soundtrack...
Just listen to that, all of the songs in this game are either badass or relaxing as hell. I could go on forever about how great this game is and even though it's the sequel to a pretty well regarded PS1 game I have seen very few people who even heard of this game let alone played it.
Also Rocket Knight Adventures:
It's like Contra 3 for the Mega Drive, only with swords, and opossums.
(A while ago I would have said Dangan Ronpa but A. It's pretty popular now and B. It's arguably not even a game.)
Sorry if this was mentioned before, but Legend of the Dragoon for the PS1 was a fantastic game. Was probably the lynch pin that finally made me become a gamer and not just someone who plays video games if you understand what I mean. Other game with it was FFIX. Both made me want to see more with games.

Hello me, how am I today?
I don't know if this game is really "unknown" in the US, but I'll go and say Xenogears, probably the best written and perfectly crafted RPG of all time (for me at least). It's a pity that we didn't get it localized in Europe, not even when it was released on PSN, that's why I say it's a hidden gem.
Anyone there who shares my ideas?

I'm mostly going off of my own limited knowledge but I'd say at least a great cult following and at most it is generally known here in the US. One of my brother's friends had a copy and let me play it for a while plus had a strategy guide with it which helped cause for an rpg it had a lot of little things you had to do to keep things moving. Reminds me of Chrono Cross, just doing something different or finding one character here makes you unable to get a different character elsewhere.
I do also know that without that game, Xenosaga wouldn't have come about which is on my list of favorite rpgs to play. The game is not related storywise, but it is described as a "spiritual successor" to Xenogears. Made by the same person who made Xenogears in fact, Tetsuya Takahashi.

And, speaking of Dart, he was also going to be in Playstation All-Stars as DLC.
On topic though, im not into those JRPGs... I dont know why, but they just dont make sense to me :/
Someone ever played Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals ?
It was only realised in US/Japan and no one speak about it.
-Maybe because the game suck...
-NO!
This game is a
prequel to
Lufia and The Fortress of Doom, but
the beginning of the sequel is the end of the prequel.
Lufia II is way better than the 1st episode in my opinion.
ps: some puzzles are incredibly hard, trust me.
;_;
Why didn't Nintendo release really important SNES RPG's over here in PAL territories.
We don't have Luifa
Chrono Trigger
Earthbound
Final Fantasy 2 or 3
and probably a lot more I can't think of.
