Alright, so let's pretend this is Nintendo HQ.

"Sir, we gotta make a new Metroid game"
"Hmm, alright let's look at the internet for ideas"
"Oh, people want a new Metroid Prime, that's not like Federation Force"
"Oh, so people want Metroid Prime 4, with Prime gameplay made by Retro. That's easy"

There we go, just saved that game and made Nintendo hundreds of thousands of sales.
Only thing that I wanna know more about is how easily portable is it? The reveal trailer shows everyone carrying it around in their hand unlike the 3DS where you just fold the top screen down and put it in your pocket.
If there's one game this thing needs, it's a new Animal Crossing installment, and a proper one at that. The series would be perfect for a console like this.

To this end, I wouldn't mind seeing an option for a cover as an accessory for the system priced at like 10 to 15 dollars USD and the equivalent price in other regions. With that cover, you could carry it in a computer bad, hoping that it has a power save mode, and open it and play whenever you want. It might also be a good idea to have another accessory around 20 to 25 dollars that is a portable charger like the ones used for phones so much when Pokemon Go was super popular. They could even theme them off of launch titles that are exclusive for the Switch like Metroid, Pokemon, Mario and Zelda. If the battery life is really as bad as it's supposed, then these options would be a fairly cheap option to getting around that, and in fact the portable charger coukd probably recharge the Switch two or three times over to make it seem more worth it. They could also say that the had to come separate because it would have made the system cost too much to sell at an appealing price. If the Switch is about 300 dollars, god hoping it's not more than that, then these would being the total price to about 350, which considering what the accessories would do, isn't bad, even more so because they are an option, not a requirement.
So I got invited to a Nintendo Switch even to play it for several hours next week. Cool....
While we're talking about Nintendo Switch related news. rumors abound that a new Metroid game will be announced tomorrow and Shovel Knight is coming to the Switch: http://www.polygon.com/2017/1/11/1424238...ch-release
Not holding my breathe on a new Metorid game for the switch. On the account on how badly Nintendo is treating the series.

To be fair, federation force was a fairly good Metroid game in terms of gameplay. It played like the Wii games, so the only thing that was really missing was Samus Aran.
This time tomorrow, boys.
