Now this? This is easily the best Half-Life video I have ever seen.
The effort put into this was impressive, you can actually see how terryfing the Black Mesa Disaster truly was.
One mistake is that the Shepard section started too late. He arrived on Black Messa during "We've got hostiles", the thing is that he was unconcious during most of the game.
According to the author, the inspiration behind the video came from "emergency calls after the Chernobyl disaster".
Makes perfect sense if you ask me. After all, the Chernobyl nuclear disaster is the closest real life equivalent to the events of HL1 and its expansions.
Scientists, civilians and military personnel were involved. Even to this day there are traces of radiation in the northern hemisphere. Sure, no extraterrestrial beings came to invade us, but the destruction left afterwards is right there for everyone to see.
