I hope we get to see normal people going about their normal day, and while the characters are talking the tv/radio in the background is giving a lighthearted report on either a "flu" that seems to be spreading around [insert any city/state here] or something like that. I love in the old horror movies when the stuff in the background (radio/tv) slowly tells you what's happening over the beginning of the film. Bonus points if they can get  the rights to use some of the actual old news recordings from the old George A. Romero films!

I hope that it's a over few days/weeks, and as the episodes progress we see signs of the pandimic getting worse. How I see it, start with one or two people having a stomach ache, then go to more people going to the hospital for itchy/burning/irradiated skin, then after about 5-6 episodes (assuming this is like a 10-13 episode season) have people start dieing. This can all be intercut with people going about their days and happy radio broadcasts happen. The broadcasts slowly darker as they go along and the people start gossiping. I'm seeing it as a slice of life show that goes to hell in a hand bag in 10-13 episodes.

Another thing that I have to add, I don't want it to turn out that it was the T-Virus that started all of this. I am sick and tieard of everything being blamed on science. I'd rather have it be an evaluation in our genes that took over.

Yes, yes! Something just like this! I hope they don't go straight into having walkers in the first few episodes. I want to see a build up!
I also hope they don't mess up the story by giving an explanation to the virus, especially now that Romero himself is making that film where the origins are supposedly revealed.

Btw. I FINALLY found the Second Book in Finnish! I thought they had all ran out since I spent years trying to find one to no avail but I finally found a store that was selling them. A single store in the whole friggin' country. Now, you might wonder why I didn't just get it in English, those are plentiful for sure. Well, you see, I happen to have a collected English edition of the first few issues, after which I learned there were translated editions available here. A bit too late, sine the Second Book had run out of print, which is strange since all the other editions are still available and plentiful. What I'm trying to say is that I didn't want to have one English edition in between the Finnish ones.

Wherever Rick goes trouble, zombies and death follows.

I wonder how many seasons it'll take before they learn this.
I'M SO FUCKING EXCITED.
The spinoff already has a trailer apparently.

I love the companion series already!
Fear the Walking Dead has started off slowly, IMO, but I understand Rome wasn't built in a day (I know it has nothing to do with Rome, but it's gonna be huuuuuuuuge. A zombie apocalypse didn't happen in one day. Okay, it started in one day, like building Rome did. You get the point. Moving on...).
I just caught up with Season 5 of TWD and I'm enjoying FTWD. Interesting.
It's bullcrap that we can't watch the new show on TV here. The only way I could watch it is by getting a new channel I'd have to pay for.

You have to pay extra for AMC? That blows.

We don't even have AMC here. It's shown on some other channel that I can't remember the name of. I've just seen the tv-ads that say I'd have to buy that channel to watch it.

The main series episodes are shown here on Fox, if you were wondering. And no, not FX, we only have one free channel within the Fox network in this country. You can tell I've had to explain the channel networks here before.

What's the status of Netflix over there? I hear its complicated outside of US in general.

Netflix is pretty widely used here, I haven't heard anyone say anything about complicated. Not that I'd start paying for it for a single series, I barely have time to follow everything I watch on TV so it'd be otherwise worthless to me.
I am LOVING Fear The Walking Dead!
