Zelda Trivia
#1
Discuss Zelda trivia here.
I'm going to post a bit of trivia here that I'm not properly "submitting" yet for a few reasons:
  • I don't have a source yet, but I have seen it with my own eyes and know who I can ask for a photo.
  • I'm not sure how much it counts because it's not in a game, it's a reference to a game in a theme park.
There's a theme park somewhere in my home country (Belgium) called Plopsaland. One of the rides has signs throughout the ride. These signs are, quite literally, designed after the Hyrule Shield, bird and all.

That's pretty cool. :O It sounds like it'd be a fun place for a vacation!

Here's some I know.
There's the mario paintings in some houses in link to the past, and the Chris Houlihan room.

There's an unused arwing enemy in ocarina of time.

How close are they to the real shield? Like, is it literally the shield, or are they just clearly influenced by it? If it's the former, I imagine that it's a lawsuit waiting to happen...

In any case, I'd love to see some pics, if you really are able to get them!

Well, as far as I know, you're always welcome to visit Belgium, at least if you can survive the CET jetlag.

Both are already submitted.

I can't remember how close it is to the actual shield (c'mon, it was like a year ago) but I can vaguely remember the friend that took me there telling me it was the actual thing just with extra text.
I'll ask him which ride it was.

I haven't got round to finding the thing in the above discussion, but I have found something mildly similar (ignore all except the site's logo and the picture next to the underlined bit):

Lol, how coincidental, because in Europe (I think in Germany or France, I can't remember) they have this roller coaster based on Sonic 4.
The funnier thing is that it used to be based off of Sonic Spinball because the ride existed for over a decade. It's still called Sonic's Spinball (I think), but have the design based on Sonic 4.

That is amazing.
What was the theme park called?
