My name is Whitley. I'm a 25 years old who recently graduated from college with a major in Animation. I've been a gamer since I was 7 and started off with Super Mario Bros. on the NES and went on from there. My gaming pallet is a bit limited (mom wouldn't let me buy my own video games let alone actually buy one for me), so if there are any games that you all think I should try out just shout 'em out. My favorite gaming genres are fighting games, platformers, survival horrors, and RPGs.
My hobbies are singing, drawing (fanart mostly but I can draw other things as well), and writing (fan fictions).
That's all I have to say for now, but, yeah...sup? :P
For RPGs I would recommend
PS1:
Chrono Cross
Chrono Trigger
Final Fantasy 9 (thought they are all good, minus the modern ones, this is my favorite)
Legend of Dragoon
Final Fantasy spin offs that aren't the chocobo racing game
Breath of Fire
PS2:
Dragon Quest 8
Final Fantasy 10, 12,
Kingdom Hearts games
Nintendo handhelds:
Pokemon
Dragon Quest games
Final Fantasy Tactics
Those are just some of the ones off the top of my head. PS1 was the golden age.

Well, SNES one is less feature heavy. DS version is good as well, and is more feature heavy, albeit slightly so that is true.

Hello there, i'm Caz. I'm a university student and fan of games of all genres... some more than others of course. I started off playing games here and there until I got myself a Game Boy Colour, a terrible sports game made by the same folks responsible for Mortal Kombat, but really got into the medium when I got Pokémon Silver. Since then, i've been slowly broadening my palette and trying out games old and new of all different kinds. Hobbies include video games (of course), making videos/reviews, reading, writing and trying new things.
Also, since I noticed that there's an RPG discussion going on here and noticed a lack of non-Squaresoft/Square Enix third party titles, I thought i'd toss in a reccomendation: Radiant Historia for the Nintendo DS. It's essentially Chrono 3, minus the silent protagonist.
Also also, the DS version of Chrono Trigger would probably be the best option since it is the easiest one to get your hands one, doesn't have the long loading times associated with the PS1/PSN releases and has some good additions including resolution to Magus and Schala's story.
That's all for now, until next time, game on my friends!

Welcome, sir Caz of THeGamerGuy! I'm not good at saying hello, so...
Do we have all the needed meats for the initiation ceremony of all our new members? I have the elephant dung, spoiled yogurt, whipped cream and ankle weights!

Welcome Caz. We welcome you to the site. It's funny you bring up your first GBC game. My first one was this really bad red neck game where you hunted and fished. It might have been good but I never got far and lost it, with no intention to find it any time soon.

Did it have a rumble pak? I might have played a similar game to that; it was a fishing game where you'd try to catch the biggest fish and win a tournament. And it does not hold up whatsoever.

I'm not sure. The game was Billy Bob's Huntin' N Fishin', and it was a really bad game, even before I knew what a bad game was. I think I may have beat the "huntin'" part of the game.
