Super Smash Bros Brawl: 2 ROB Facts
#1
When selecting the color scheme for the Famicom and NES R.O.B.s, the stickers on their base change to reflect their actual counterparts. The decal for the Famicom R.O.B. reads "Family Computer Robot," while the decal for the NES R.O.B. reads Robotic Operating Buddy.

The blue outfit for R.O.B. is based off of his cameo as Nav-Com in Star-Tropics for the NES.

His purple outfit is based of of the North American SNES, but I'm sure that's obvious so I won't be submitting that as trivia unless the mods say otherwise.

This one is REALLY a stretch, but his yellow outfit is based off of the Spike enemy from Stack-Up. Is that acceptable?

EDIT: I'll just add the Japanese and North American color schemes as well...

I wonder, is ROB called ROB in the Japanese version if the acronym is different?

He is called ROBOT in the Japanese version of Brawl.

The original toy was called the Family Computer Robot in Japan, and R.O.B. in North America.

I think it would be a little cool if the default color for "Robot" would be the white and red version in japan, since this is an alternate color in the U.S. version.

ROB's default color for the US Version is actually the Red and White color scheme. His actual American (gray) color scheme is an alternate. I'm pretty sure it's the same for the Japanese version.

Your right. The pictures weren't loading for me and I haven't seen ROB in awhile.

My bad. Still it would be cool to have the defalt colors be the robot that came out in that country.

This is neat, though I think that Stack Up one is a bit of a stretch.

I don't think the Pink ROB is meant to be based on the SNES.

I just came across something interesting. R.O.B. 64 from Star Fox 64 is rumored to be based off of R.O.B. If this is true then his gold coloration should be a based off of R.O.B. 64's colors.

Idk if it's stated in Japan that he was based on R.O.B. All I know is that his name there was NUS64 (which is Nintendo Ultra System 64, the N64's full name).

This was also the case in Smash 4 in regards to ROB's Palette Swaps, so this I think more so would be Series Trivia then Brawl Trivia due to applying to one game:

This may also apply to Ultimate, but we won't quite know for certain till ROB's Palette Swap options for that game have been showcased.
