Basically what the video showed was the entire new opening so we got to see all the characters of the first season, including the Dark Kingdom. Then there was a sample from the first episode which showed Luna giving Usagi her transformation brooch. Funny thing is this scene was exactly like the one in the old anime, except for the new art style and neat 3D transformation.
Oh....that would have been cool to see. Guess I have to wait, meh. Gonna go back to ordering new shirts and some hoodies. Current one I'm wearing is a little on the tattered side so need to get some new ones.

Kinda funny that they claimed the new Sailor Moon anime would stick closer to the manga and the original episode of the old anime followed it way closer. It's still pretty awesome, though, and I freaked out when Sailor Moon actually said "Moon Tiara Boomerang!" instead of "Moon Tiara Action!". Also... Mamoru is ridiculously handsome in this version.
I was also pretty amused how the opening theme song even had a lyric that went something like "We're not helpless girls who need men!". So hopefully the down time moments won't be just them trying to get some dick. I'm still really wondering if they'll actually keep in that Serenity committed suicide, especially since this first episode was less graphic than the old series.

It's out already? Oh, thank you AnimeFreak and your totally legal streaming services.
Oh yes, and Paranoia Agent is a go, marathoned the first 4 episodes the other day. Liking it so far, thanks for suggesting it, Hex!

^ To be fair, the new design is based off the manga as well. Nearly all the characters have rather slender, lanky builds. The reason why Usagi had a bit more weight to her in the old anime was because the manga creator originally meant to make her chubbier than the other Soldiers. Not sure why that changed.

Wooo! Finally someone actually listened to something I suggested! I'm really glad that you like it! It's on of my favorite. Be sure to check out the movies Satoshi Kon did as well, in particular Paprika and Tokyo Godfathers. Perfect Blue is pretty good, but depends on what your level of being able to deal with a lot of rapey themes are. It's not a movie I can frequently watch.

Of course, I wouldn't have asked for suggestions if I didn't plan to check them out :P Glad I asked too, both the series suggested to me having been something I propably wouldn't have otherwise watched.
This series is from the same guy who made Paprika and Tokyo Godfathers? Nice. I've actually seen both, Tokyo Godfathers being one of the best anime movies I've seen. I've also seen Millennium Actress, have that and Paprika on DVD. Still need to get Tokyo Godfathers, I just happened to see it on TV once.
A quick check on Wikipedia and it turns out he even made my favorite part in Memories, Magnetic Rose :D

Just a reminder that new Sailor Moon episodes air on the first and third Saturdays of every month.
I caught up with what's out of the Berserk manga. It's really weird how much the tone changes. You go from some of the most brutal things I've ever seen a manga to more mainstream violence you'd see in something like Bleach or Naruto. Heck, I feel like I'm reading Once Piece right now with all the sea voyage stuff going on. I certainly don't miss the harsh rapes that kept showing up before, but now it's so tame I feel like I'm not even reading the same manga.
There's no way the dude is ever going to finish it. Unless he gets lazy this story has so much more to go and I hope more info about just what Griffith has become gets fleshed in a little more. Might be because the translation I read is a little shitty, but I'm a bit confused.
I initially thought Griffith raped Casca just to get to Guts, but did he know that she was pregnant and used that fetus so he could exist in the real world again and not just in that other place as Femto? Seems like when that egg thing swallowed that fetus Griffith was reborn.
I'm also wondering if Gambino actually really was that horrible or if a demon possessed him? Sure he was harsh, but it genuinely seemed like he did care for Guts. I at least want to hope that something else was going on and those weren't his true feelings when he attacked Guts.

BLACK STAR YOU ARE A WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT AND NEED TO BE BRUTALLY MURDERED. YOU ARE ONE OF THE MOST ANNOYING ANIME CHARACTERS I HAVE SEEN IN AGES AND JUST SEEING YOUR STUPID FACE ENRAGES ME. YOU WILL NEVER AMOUNT TO ANYTHING AND NEED TO SHUT YOUR WHORE MOUTH.

I also despise that character and wish he would have died, but also I was dissatisfied with the end of Soul Eater because it felt like they had so much potential and then just threw that all away and made something completely different, and dumb in my opinion.

I haven't finished the anime yet. I'm on episode 27 and madly in love with Stein ;p
From what I heard the anime reached a point where there wasn't anymore manga to go on so they did their own thing, which is never good. Seems like anime script writers are pretty lousy.
It's just a shame that here in the US we don't have any gender neutral pronouns. Crona's gender is left unspecified in the Japanese version, but Funimation thought it would be super offensive to refer to him as "it", so they went with "he". I do think he is a boy, though. That thing that merged with his body is male and he doesn't use magic like all the other witches. I think Medusa just put him in that dress because she probably wanted a girl instead. Or just because she's a bitch to mess with him.
Oh, and my hate for Funimation dubbing continues. I am so sick of hearing the exact same voice actors recycled for every anime they do. The voice actors don't even change their voice or delivery. Stein sounds EXACTLY like Hiei and it almost made me dislike him.

The only problem I have with Funimation is with the Piccolo voice. Having grown up on Dragon Ball Z, I have I thought thought that it was best for him. When it comes out of Zolo, it just sounds off.

I just watched the first episode of Cowboy Bebop and I really like it. I'm glad that it's not hundreds of episodes long, I'll probably finish the series.

Can I ask why people find this show so great? I seem to be the only person to not be interested in it. All people keep telling me is that it's the best cartoon anime out there, but when I watched it, I got bored really fast. Maybe it's like Evangelion and Naruto, which I never got into but everyone else has. To each thier own, I guess
