Oh and apparently Whiplash, a fantastic film, is probably disqualified from most of the big awards because the Adadacamey is calling it an "adapted screenplay" for crummy reasons. Here's an article on it, pretty messed up stuff. 

Dead Rising: Watchtower gets a trailer

Found out that Dreamworks has made a ton of lay offs to the animation department. This is also leading them to only release two films a year. As well as pushing back various films from being released. On a movie related note. One of the movies that got me interested(although its one of the movies that got pushed back) is a movie called 'Me and My shadow'. Its going to be done with 2D hand-drawn animation for the shadows and will have the characters that aren't the shadows animated in CG. 

A new Mrs. Doubtfire movie is being made.

I'm a little sad at this news. I think it's a little too soon to remake one of Robin's movies. Could we not wait until a year before we started thinking of remakes?

I know at one point they were talking about doing a sequel to Mrs.Doubtfire sometime back when Robin was alive. But I'm very uncomfortable with this remake. Good luck if you're going to top Robin Williams in the comedy department.

Mel Brook's comedy Blazing Saddles is getting remade as an animated feature for kids. I'm not looking forward to this since I don't want to see my favorite Mel Brooks movie get butchered to pieces. Let alone how they pitched it is ridiculous, and the studio that is making this has a bad resume.

It reminds me of all the kids cartoons from the 80/90's that were based on populer adult movies. Toxic Avenger, Robocop, Highlander. All of those just seem weird to me. I think Blazing Saddles the animated series will be just like Space Balls the animated series. (IE not good and will last one season)


Also, I heard that Aliens was going to get it's own series but only made it to one episode before it was scraped.

It just seemed weird to make a cartoon based off of an R rated movie for kids. It s just out of place from what its originally based off of. And its not an animated series of Blazing Saddles, its an animated movie thats being made. They are just going to make this remake just to take out what made the original movie good, and replace it with humor that is going to suit those who take the fun out movie making nowadays. And I'm not going to see it if they are just gonna butcher the hell out of it. On a related note to Mel Brooks, he announced that he's writing Spaceballs 2.

Eh they've been making cartoons of anything forever, usually they aren't too notably worse than any other cheap cartoon on the market.

On the topic of R rated movies turned kids cartoons, I have the Toxic Crusaders video gave for the Genesis based off the cartoon based off of Toxic Avenger.
It's unplayable almost. Simply among the worst controlling game I own. You only see in 2D but have to control around obstacles in a 3D space. Worst idea ever.

They're taking another shot at making a movie based on the Hitman games.

Also I'm excited to see the new movie too.

Question on the new hitman movie. Will it be better than the first hitman movie we got?

I actually loved the first Hitman movie so this one'll definitely be on my list.
