Did they honestly fix the game? All I've heard is that the new version brought only a few new weapons and an extra chapter to the table.

Yes they do. I died quite a few times on every single boss I encounter, which are unfairly CHEAP. 90% of them are anti-flinch. Here are some differences I found between the original and RE. Btw, I only played till the second stage on the original so I might miss some.

1 - The text in the main menu is now horizontal instead of eye-killing vertical.

2- The very first QTE where Ryu kills someone and remove is mask is gone.

3- No more golden dragon-kill everyone onscreen ultimate.

4- New claw weapon on the very first stage.

5- Saving is now A LOT faster.

6- Nippo is back.

7- You can only perform QTE kills when enemy health is low, or dismembered.

8- Unlock skills with Karma Points which you earn by killing enemies and performing combos.

9 - You can play as Ayane, Kasumi and Momoji? (I not sure if this is in the original NG3)

10 - Using bow in the air requires Ki (gauge below health). I personally hate this feature so much cuz' it takes longer to fill up the Ki bar to perform a Nippo.

That's pretty much I found. The bosses are really hard and I had to look for guide to beat it sometimes. If you liked NG2 you should really get this one.

That is definitely not a good thing.

I must check... You mean ninpo, right?

As for the extra characters, no, you cannot play as anyone else than Ryu in the original.

Does your health and ki still regenerate? Because that just made the original waaaaaaaay too easy.

Oh, and I liked NG2. However, I absolutely hated NG3. That's why I'm asking if they have actually done anything to it.

Yes, Ninpo :P

Well I'm not sure about the health regeneration in the original, since I never care about how much health I have. But in Razor's Edge it works this way. I'll try my best to explain it as detailed as possible.

Every stage you begin with 100% health. As you take damage, you'll lose health. As you lose health, your health bar will become shorter and shorter. This doesn't happen immediately. If you don't heal yourself after a short period of time, then your health bar will become shorter. Let's say you're in a battle and you got damaged to 70% of your health, if you don't heal yourself in time, that 70% will become your maximum health.

However, you can prevent this from happening by healing yourself before the health bar become shorter, or end the battle fast enough so you'll get healed. Sadly, the only way to health yourself during battle is by using the Meditation skill, which exchange your Ki for health and leaves you vulnerable (again, another cheap way to prevent you from casting Ninpo)

You can only regain your full health bar during checkpoints (falcons). Dying doesn't return your health bar to normal. Played the game for nearly 4 hours, I don't think there's any recovering items in this game.

So in a summary: Your health regenerates, your Ki doesn't. If you ignored a falcon and enter a boss fight, you're f*cked.

Thanks for clearing that up. That seems like a MUCH better solution than what was in the original. In the original you got all your health AND ki back after each battle. Dying also reset your health back to full. That meditation system sounds interesting.

...Razor's Edge really does sound better. Thanks for the info Ryeo.

Just about six or seven more chapters left in FE13 Lunatic for me. I'm gonna be so happy when I'm done.

I would still suggest people to wait for Sigma 3.

Definitely. Here I am again, leaving my console open while on the computer looking for a guide to beat the last boss, again...

Desided to replay Ocarina of time yesterday. Got all the way up to the Fire temple.

Dat Music. Could listen to it all day.

I'm also trying to go back and beat Jet Force Gemini. Kinda stuck on the final boss.

Right now, playing a bit of Monster World IV (I'm in the Underground Fort, but I just lack the motivation to beat it) and Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure (DS version; it's so cute). When I get Pandora's Tower on Tuesday, I'm probably going to start playing that right away. :p

I have troubles sticking to play one single game. Now, I'm Playing Skyrim to complete the trophies, Prototype because I've owned it for like 4 monthes and havent played it :3, Metroid Prime because it's another game i've owned for like 2 years and havent played it, and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. Do I even need to explain why I'm playing that?

Prototype is one of those games I keep putting down for some reason. I pick it up and get to a curtin boss and than put it down for a couple of mouths. I have yet to beat it thou I like it.

If you can, try to get a classic. Mine still runs so long as it isn't 30% dust.

I had one. I sold it to a friend. Now I heard he had sold it to someone else. I kinda want to punch myself in the face now.
