You claim it works with a controller... yet don't specify it works with ONLY an Xbox 360 controller. That makes me very angry as I don't even particularly like an Xbox 360 controller. In short, multiple controller options on a PC. RE: Features that should be in every game. - retrolinkx - 11-04-2014 I also think that some games should have a "Dynamic Difficulty" in which as you get better at the game the game itself gets harder, and as you become worse the game itself becomes easier. God Hand did this very well which meant that you were always challenged in interesting ways and had to fight using skill instead of easily beating your enemies because the difficulty was too low, or having to fight different types of enemies that do new things that you're not prepared for if you didn't have harder fighters to fight. I remember game doing something like this (don't remimber what it was), and I remember not liking the way it did it. Basicly, the longer you lived the harder the game would become, and the more you died the easier the game would become. The problem lied in that there where times that you died because you fell into a pit or something else that there was no way to avoid that made it look like you suck at the game. This would put you on the easiest difficulty and made you hike back up just to thorw you down more pits. Refine this manic and I'd be happy with it. I used to have a logitech controller. I also used to have a flight stick (that was amazing for some of the PC Star Trek games and the flight simulator I had). The issue is that some games REQUIRE an Xbox 360 controller even though it is a PC game. I don't see the point in controller support on a PC if it ONLY accepts a certain controller. Kind of pointless. Yeah, that's understandable. It shouldn't be the longer you survive, the harder it gets since that just means that it'll constantly become harder. I was saying that it should be implemented in some games that usually have easy gameplay no matter what difficulty you play it on so as you get better at it the game itself becomes more challenging to suit your play style. Main reason I bought it is so that I can use a fight stick for Killer Instinct but it let's you play so many (USB) controllers on so many other machines well worth looking into. I do agree with a pause button in every game. You know, that actually pauses the game instead of bringing the pause menu up while the game keeps going. Seeing it the first time I think shouldn't be allowed else you might miss something important, but afterwards if you have to see it again you should have the option to go past the whole thing right into a fight. Another thing all games should have, especially high action games, adjusting the volume for background sounds, VFX sounds, dialog and music. Basically I hate it when I'm trying to hear someone talk and there is this big orchestral music in the background that sounds louder than the people talking. I'm playing my copy of The Legend of the Dragoon and they only allow you 32 items to carry with no upgrades. I only carry about 3-4 small health items, 1-2 medium to large health items and maybe 3 status healing items. That may seem like a small amount but that takes up a lot of space pretty quickly. I can carry practically as many armor and weapon items as I want but god forbid I carry too many health items. FF games these days practically give you nearly unlimited space. Skyrim and Elder Scrolls games let you hold as much as you want, but the weight capacity is limited unless you have items that boost your weight capacity. |
