True, while we are at it let me remind you that the Earth is located on top of four Elephants, which at the same time are on top of the Cosmic Sea Turtle.
But jokes aside, back in Ancient Grece people did actually knew that the Earth was spherical (contrary to the popular belief that people didn't knew this until a few centuries ago).
You see, the earliest know evidence for the concept of an spherical Earth can be traced way back to Greek philosophers during the 6th Century BC. A few centuries later no educated person actually believed that the Earth was flat. This idea gradually spread globally and became accepted as fact. Even thought some cultures still held on the flat-Eath-idea for quite a while, by the time of the Middle Ages, the Earth was most definitely a globe. Many medieval books and ilustrations repeatdedly stated that the Earth was a Globe.
The reason why modern humans have this misconception that our ancestors believed that the Earth was flat comes from historians looking back and misingterpreting certain events and ancients records.

Yes, I'm aware that we are talking about modern flat Earth believers. But since we are talking about the idea of a flat Earth it seemed like the perfect excuse to dump this info that was on my head for a while.
