RE: Pets - tigerlily - 02-07-2014 Sierra survived her 9 days off, and looks fabulous. I asked a couple of people to go and feed her while I was away, as I didn't want her to drop weight. The first person managed to get 2 feeds in her, and the second person couldn't get anywhere near her. LOL Sonic was a good boy for my parents and met lots of new people and even sat in on a few of the piano lessons my dad was teaching. He was very bewildered when we got home, and hasn't really left our sides. RE: Pets - Hexadecimal - 02-08-2014 Bought the pigs a new cage so nice it's like a guinea pig mansion. I'm not putting them in it until Tuesday, though, when I have the day off. I want to make sure they're OK with it and can find the water bottle. Is putting piggies in a new environment anything like putting cats in a new environment? I did a lot of research before getting Nola, so when I got her, I put her immediately in the room with her littler box, water, and food. I did the same when we moved recently. It has helped her a lot (cats main goal is to find a good home, and they HATE being moved). Will you put your girls in the area of the new cage that has the water bottle? With pigs it not that big of a deal if that's the only change (they LOVE having more space). It's really for my own piece of mind that I want to see them drink; if something's off they may not notice where it is or be able to reach it as easy. I mostly doing this so I can separate them with a barrier when Dahlia goes into heat. She's so violent with Iris when this happens I'm afraid she'll really hurt her. With Scuzzy I did everything a lot slower since everything was new to him and he was old. I let him get used to his cage being in a new space, get used to me, and then I got him the bigger cage Dahlia and Iris are in now (I couldn't get anything fancy with Scuzzy since his previous owner's neglect limited his mobility). PS - Photos of the pigs' new palace plz :) RE: Pets - Hexadecimal - 02-13-2014 (02-12-2014, 08:01 AM)SERIOUSLY THOUGH Wrote: Is there no way to spey a guinea pig ? You can, but it's EXTREMELY risky, so it's best to only do it if there's a health issue. That's why I didn't keep Colonel Mustard; I wasn't willing to risk his life in order to let him stay with his mom and auntie. Been meaning to get pictures; I will when I'm feeling better. I've been laying down most of the time. RE: Pets - tigerlily - 02-14-2014 Sonic looks weird because he was whining at me. LOL RE: Pets - Hexadecimal - 02-16-2014 RE: Pets - tigerlily - 02-17-2014 RE: Pets - Hexadecimal - 02-18-2014 I really miss Scuzzy so I had this made. RE: Pets - Beware of Cuccos - 02-20-2014 Nola ate a tiny roach yesterday, which means two things-
RE: Pets - Hexadecimal - 02-20-2014 They really don't like the camera. RE: Pets - Wastelander - 02-22-2014 Not entirely sure this belongs here (cuz it wasn't my pet), but I want to make a mention that what happened to the Silver Fox called Vader was absolutely disgusting. Vader was someone's pet, for crying out loud. An indoor pet, even. For reference: http://mypetfox.com/post/77492103638/regarding-vader Be warned, this'll ruin your entire day. And make you cry. ;_; RE: Pets - Beware of Cuccos - 02-23-2014 RE: Pets - gamemaster1991 - 02-23-2014 Putt wants to be cool. |
